Gerald Gendreau has been involved in the planning, architecture, and interior design of cultural and campus facilities, multi-family residential buildings and hotels, and private residences. Currently, he is the associate partner-in-charge of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, California and the master plan for Beverly Hilton Hotel site in Beverly Hills, California.

His completed projects include the Glenstone Museum in Potomac, Maryland; the master plan and three academic buildings for Pitzer College in Claremont, California; and the campus master plan and design of the Technology and Learning Complex at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.

The corporate projects Mr. Gendreau has led include the Morgan Stanley World Headquarters tower and executive offices and the Ian Schrager corporate offices, both in New York City. Also done under his direction were the Golf Clubhouse at Euro Disney near Paris, France; and the Leavitt Advertising/Hanover Agency corporate offices in Weehawken, New Jersey.

In California, Mr. Gendreau completed the PaceWildenstein Gallery in Beverly Hills, as well as private residences in Pacific Palisades, Bel Air, Brentwood, and Malibu and on Belvedere Island. In New York City, he oversaw the Gymnasium Apartment in the landmarked former Police Headquarters Building. Mr. Gendreau contributed significantly to both the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Renovation and Addition in New York City; the Herman Miller Showroom in Long Island City, New York; and the Computer Science Theory Center at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

A registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects, Mr. Gendreau joined Gwathmey Siegel in 1985 and was named an associate partner in 2001.
